Ron Nind established Nind Electrical Services Ltd in 1977. Since then the business has grown in size and reputation. Today the company employs over 60 staff including a mix of Registered Electricians and Electrical Apprentices plus Fitters employed by Nind Dairy Services Ltd.
Nind Electrical has an administration base in Invercargill, which is also the core Branch of the business. The Invercargill branch services a wide range of customers including Industrial, Commercial, Residential and Dairy Farms.
Nind Dairy Services Ltd incorporated in October 2007 and is also based at our Invercargill branch depot. It is focused on servicing Dairy farms with Electrical and Fitting/Engineering services. NDS is the local agent for Milfos innovative Dairy Systems.
Nind Electrical operates a satellite branch in Winton - the heart of Southland.
The Nind Electrical Queenstown branch was established in 2000 and now operates from an Office Workshop based in 146 Glenda Drive, Frankton. This branch services clients involved in Property Development including Apartment Complexes and Substantial Residential Homes in Queenstown and surrounding sites including Millbrook Resort. We are also involved with clients developing and refurbishing Commercial Property in Queenstown, Cromwell and Wanaka.
Our Cromwell branch was established in 2006 with the leasing of a workshop at 4 Wolter Crescent.

Nind Electrical Services saw an opportunity in July 2009 by joining with McNeill Pumping to form a new company McNeill Nind Ltd. This business has four branches - Invercargill, Alexandra, Dunedin & Christchurch and is owned 50% by Nind Electrical Services Ltd and 50% by KG Richardson & Sons Ltd. McNeill's has a solid 90 year history and is aligned with the world's leading pump manufacturer, Grundfos. Overriding our "Quality Solutions delivered on time" Customer value statement is the opportunity to provide a niche service combining Electrical & Pumping services as one package.
From October 1st 2009 McNeil Nind Ltd will own the business Elink Automation based in Dunedin and will operate from the same premises as McNeill's - 15 Donald St in Kaikorai Valley. This acquisition adds an important link to provide a turnkey package for Pumping solutions particularly in relation to automating sites and allowing offsite monitoring. A key customer of Elink is the Fonterra Stirling Cheese plant near Balclutha.
The Nind Group has a strong focus on Health & Safety in the work place and is currently registered with ACC Workplace Safety Management Program. The Nind Group has Primary Level accreditation and our Health & Safety Coordinator is currently working with Site Safe and ACC to achieve secondary accreditation over all businesses.
